Breeze, Renée & Gusto just moved to Florida last week and were enjoying the weather that the "Sunshine State" is known for.

This note is from Renée to the "ALove" list

Breeze & Gusto moved down to Florida last week with me (finally). We are trying to get our "new" home set up. In the meantime, we are staying at my parents' home. My parents are here along with one of my sisters, her husband and their two sweet little girls -- ages 9 & 11.

Breeze adopted me and his Bridge brother when Breeze was a crazy and wild 8 month boy.

Lucky for me, Breeze turned out to be a GReat boy! Unfortunately, Breeze had severe SAS. However, Breeze lived everyday to the fullest and was always by my side. I am SO proud of my Breezy boy.

Breeze's doctor thought that I'd be lucky if Breeze lived to the age of two. Well, today in sunny South Florida, Breeze and Gusto went for a long walk with me. Then, they played with their cousins and grandparents. Later on, Breeze and Gusto went swimming in the pool (heated) and ran around.

Next thing I knew, Breeze leaned against one of the chairs outside and collapsed. He had a heat attack. My dad called the vet who came over immediately (less than 5 minutes). My mom and I hugged Breeze; Gusto kissed Breeze, as did my dad.

I felt so bad for Rachael and Danielle (Breeze's cousins) because they were out playing golf.

Breeze lived a wonderful life, accomplished much and taught all of us a great deal. Everyday with Breeze was a blessing.

Breeze will be missed by ALL of us; yet, I know Breeze is watching over us. Now, Gusto has to be a big boy.

Thanks for listening and caring, Renée

From Debbie, Misty & Molly's mom

Breeze, her faithful companion has gone to the bridge today. We know Breeze was a rescue who not only won many ribbons and awards in obedience, was the recipient of the Grace Award but most importantly, was Renee's amazing Service dog.

We met at his Birthday party and then made our first trip to Goldstock together where he proved to me his amazing abilities.

Misty was just 9 months old at the time and during the night went into a severe allergic reaction. Breeze was quick to react and would not leave me alone until I got up out of bed. Breeze went by Misty's crate and made sure I knew something was very wrong. I thought she was just sleeping and that Breeze was being a pain in my butt...With the help of many wonderful people at Goldstock, Gail got us to her vet who later stated she had never seen a dog in such a bad allergic state and didn't think she would have survived unless we had gotten her to the vet in the time we did..

That was the just one of many amazing skills Breeze had. I was fortunate to have witnessed his sensitivity, love and devotion to Renee many times.

But two weeks ago, I was shocked when I stayed the night, he didn't sleep with Renee. He stayed in the spare room with Gusto and I. I had never seen him leave her side and kept telling Renée that I was so sorry he had stayed with me. I now know he was " loving me up" just one more time.

Breeze had SAS. but was doing well and even loved his new brother Gusto.. well most of the time...

Please light a Candle for Breeze and keep Renee and her family in your prayers. I know my Carrie girl and Lacey will share their tenny balls with Breeze and bring him to all his friends, along with Renee's other bridge children.

Just heart broken ........
